What to do about cloudy blue still?

SLAMing since 5/11 from a slimey green pool to now it is cloudy blue. It has seemed to be cloudy blue for a few days now and still SLAming. What else should I do? CC is at .5, passed the overnight FC loss test, it is just not clear. Sure curious as to what else needs to happen. Brushing and vacuuming every day and have used the DE in the sand filter regularly.

You just keep going until it clears. This is the hardest part for most people, waiting for the SLAM to clear. Just keep going until it is.

Maybe skimmer socks will speed up the filtering, just rinse them often because they clog with gunk fast.

This is the hardest part. You have 2 out of 3 BUT the last one (clear) takes so much time.

Take a pic of your steps/ladder. Take another one the next day. Hopefully you will be able to see a slight change in how much you can see each day.

I know we can see it when you post pics. There is another pool the person did not see the difference in the two pictures until she posted in online. We all could see it and she was so happy!

I was going to post a pic yesterday but couldn't figure out how to do it. (Sorry, no techno smarts.)

Every year before this one I have used a copper algaecide in the pool. Does it need that as well?

And what are skimmer socks?

Don't add copper.....just chlorine

Here is a link to skimmer socks. You can also use panty hose or anything like that. You do have to keep an eye on them as they can get gunked up and slow down the water flow to the pump.
