So I am going to be taking apart my MPV tonight to see if I have a spider gasket issue. Can someone school me on the proper way to do this? I remember reading somewhere that you have to have the valve set on a certain setting before disassembling and reassembling.
Reason for issue: LOTS of sand in my pool after start-up. Laterals and internals of filter all replaced last season. In the process of taking this apart to check the laterals to see if they're cracked AGAIN. Hopefully it's just a lateral and not the hub the laterals screw into.
