    High Chlorine Usage

    Chlorine usage Story

I have just counted up my old bleach bottles from the last two years and I came to a conclusion.....I used twice the gallons of bleach this year as I did each of the last two. I was getting my clorox at costco and this year to save a few pence I went to the new chain pool store in town.

Their econo liguid rated at 6% must have been from last half price it hardly lasted any time at all. I switched to their bulk 5 gallon 12% and I had the same issue....alll my chemistry is right on so I am coming to the conclusion that they are selling expensive water with some chlorine in it.....has anyone come across this...maybe i am crazy.

Several factors could be involved. Algae, different CYA levels, etc.

Of course, just like you say, it could be weakened chlorine, too. It would be difficult to pin that on any one item.
