Just got an intex metal frame pool 18 x 42in. We put the pool on a site that had a 13 in slope that was filled with sand, now our pool, that is filled halfway up with water is sinking.

We used the sand because that is the same site where we were going to put up a 24 ft used pool last year, but was not in the best of condition so we couldn't. We figured since the sand had been there a year the intex pool would be fine. But as i mentioned above it is sinking.

We are in the process of draining the pool and were wondering if anyone had some advice for us on how to level this ground.

Do we need to remove all the sand?

Do we need to put something under the posts to help from sinking?

What is the best way to level without heavy machinery?

And any other advice that you can come up with would be very helpful.

Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Welcome to TFP! As for leveling we used a gravel rake on the smooth side then used a grass roller you fill with water to help compact it a little. Some people who deal with slopes also add a 2x4 frame around the border of the sand to keep it from shifting.
You definitely need to put pavers under the leg posts or it will just continue to sink.

16x16 pavers should be perfect. Make them level with the top of the sand.
