Hey all,
Still in the process of assembling my AGP, and ran into a question....
The pool wall has cutouts for the skimmer and a single return. Thus, my plan was to have 1 suction inlet through the skimmer, and 1 outlet through the return.
In reading the instructions for the Hayward SP1091WM skimmer I have, it recommends "a minimum of two functioning suction outlets per pump" to reduce the risk of entrapment hazards. I hadn't planned on drilling another hole in the pool wall, but I guess I should? It's kind of curious that if two are recommended, that the pool manufacturers don't pre-drill for two....
The idea of another inlet on the pool wall makes me kind of nervous. Seems like the likelihood of sucking in a bathing suit is more probable with a wall mounted outlet than the one in the skimmer. Thoughts?
