Just got the pool open for the year and all the chemicals good except for the CYA. My wife read the pool math amount wrong and after a week it was at 90. My question is do I need to drain and refill (test results 10 min ago below) or can I mantain it at a higher level and let it come down as we vacuum and back wash and then top it back off as the summer progresses.
Pool is crystal clear.
Test results
FC 6.5
CC .5
Calcium 200
TA 100
CYA 90
PH 7.2 fountain and slide are on as I post this
Salt 3400 PPM
All test were done with the TFT test kit XL 12 months old

Your results look good. If your pool looks as good as your results then I don't see a reason to lower CYA. You will lose some overtime with backwashing ect. Now if your pool is not crystal clear I would recommend lowering it in case tou need to SLAM.
