Cant keep Chlorine!

I think my SLAMing is done!

At 9pm last night my readings were:

FC=20.7
CC = 0.5

At 7:15am this morning:

FC=20
CC=0.5

Overnight loss of .7, 0.5 or less CC, and the water is clear!

My questions is I know my CYA level is lower than ideal for my salt system but I want to use the pool next weekend. Should I let the FC drift closer to my desired level of 3-5 before adding the CYA? I assume if I add the CYA now I'm going to make it take a lot longer to drift back to normal levels?

When should I start testing TA and PH again and work on getting them inline if they are not?

Thanks!

Dean

Start testing PH when FC drops below 10. I would start letting it drift down now so I could swim. Add cya anytime just know that you won't see it measure fully for about a week.

Also just keep your FC at the target for the estimated cya you put in. Nice job by the way :)

I checked this afternoon and I went from FC=20 to FC of only 7 this afternoon!

My CYA is only 30 and it has been sunny, but that sounds like a big drop.

Should I be concerned or is this likely because how low my CYA level is?

PH=7.2
FC=7
Cc=0
CYA=30
TA=130
Temp=78

Thanks!
