    Autopilot Shutting it off

    Hi.

The unit (DIG-220) is currently NOT tied into the pump but will be in the future. In the interim, what is the best way to shut it? The pump runs on a separate times so when that goes off is it ok to leave the unit plugged in and it will cease producing or do I have to manually unplug it each time before the pump shuts? If the latter, will it lose the programming I have (30K gallons, etc).

Couldn't decipher this from the manual.

    Thanks!

Most swg's have memory to save any settings because they are usually cycled on and off with the pump. The low flow switch is also not supposed to be used as the primary means of shutting the unit off because if the switch fails, the cell will fill the line with chlorine and hydrogen. I would unplug it when the pump is not running, and get it hooked up to the pump timer asap.

Yes the Pool Pilot DIG-220 (or any other AutoPilot Pool Pilot controller) does hold memory when the power is turned off to the unit.
