Hi from sunny Cyprus. We moved here from the UK six months ago, and have lived in an apartment up to now, with a communal pool (so no need for any knowledge other than to be able to swim!). However, we will be moving to a villa in a few weeks, which has a private pool and I was beginning to wonder what we have let ourselves in for! Never had a pool before. We need to find out all the necessary information about it, but I will probably be here for help quite soon. A quick pacing measurement yesterday when we went up to check a few things in the house showed it was about 8x4 meters. Not sure of depths yet, though.
We checked in the pool control store cupboard and there are some chemicals in there, but we will be having someone come and instruct us to start with, before we take over ourselves. It's still a bit cool for swimming at the moment, although some people have made a start - braver than me, but it should have warmed up nicely for when we move in.
