    Stabilizer at walmart?

Is the stabilizer at walmart any good to purchase?? Or should I be going to the pool store for this? No ingredients listed on the bag so couldn't tell if it was straight CYA or if there were any unwanted additives mixed in. Thanks!
Legacy AG soft-sided pool (13'x21'x52"), 7,400 gallons I think?? (not sure how to determine this for sure...I've used poolmath but the pool is slightly irregular we have found), Pooline sand filter, 1 horsepower/1 speed pump, Pool installed within the last week and finished filling 4/26/15, TF-100 test kit, Intex Krystal Clear SWG, & Splash a Round Pools Leisure automatic vac. 1st time pool owner wanting to avoid the pool stores!

    Re: Stabilizer at walmart?

Many people find that the Walmart dissolves easier than other stabilizer. Check the ingredients ... it should be near 100% cyanuric acid.

Stabilizer comes in a jug. Are you sure it's stabilizer and not a bag of *Shock*?

Just got it home - it's a jug and says 100% cyanuric acid. Guess we will see how it does - thanks!

I bought the one from Walmart too. It was a 4lb jug. Pool installs Thursday I'll be using it probably Friday or Saturday once pool fills. Says 100% on mine too.

Same. Definitely took some time to dissolve in the sock placed in the skimmer, but it did the job just fine and was much cheaper than the pool store (NPS) right next door.

Yea, 96% is fine. If you do the math the nig name Pools Store is still WAY high with their 98%.
