CSI?????

I have often preached that keeping your parameters within the limits we teach will result in a no-scaling condition. That is absolutely true for all but the most unusual of conditions.........say CH over 1000 for example.

So unless you have something about your pool chemistry that is WAY, WAY abnormal, calculating CSI can be a teaching experience but it is not necessary to maintain crystal clear pools without scaling.

Agreed. Keep within the recommended ranges ... then CSI will be fine by default. If you are trying to live with something outside the recommendations, then you may need to pay attention to it.

Low CSI does not really matter for vinyl or most fiberglass pools, but is very important for plaster.
High CSI could be a problem for everyone.
