Staining

In our shallow end for about a 7 foot run on each side about 1 foot down in the water appears to be some staining. It isn't algae that can be brushed because I tried that. I am hesitant to put ascorbic acid in because I don't want to ruin the FC levels. I may take a magic eraser to it and see what happens. This stain was here last year as well for the duration of the season. You couldn't probably see it unless you look for it but now it's all I see.

Any thoughts. I wish I could post a pic but it won't show it right.

I have read you can crush cheap vitamin C tablets and set or rub them on the stain.

That's the trouble with having crystal clear water. You see every blemish on the pool surface, every stain, every blade of grass and flower petal that sinks in the pool.

Right the vitamin c is ascorbic acid. If I add that it will decrease the FC big time. I'm going to see if a mag ice eraser works first
