I have the Taylor K-2006 test kit and every year I forget how to use it. I am testing my FC but the instructions say nothing about diluting the pool water. However I know I dilute it with tap water every time just can't remember why or what the ratio is or what to do with it. So sorry I know I sound like a moron.

You only need to dilute stuff if your CYA is above 90.
