    Pump crapped out

Intex pump has seen it's last day. Thinking about purchasing a blue line pump and still use intex sand filter. Should I go with the 1 HP or would the 3/4hp be sufficient?

Intex 22x52, 10500 gals. Intex sand filter system with .95hp motor. Separate intex swg.

I would think the 3/4 would do it on that setup, but don't go above what the old one was. It may be too much for the SF and push things through it.

Consider a 2speed pump that you can run on low most of the time for more energy efficiency while filtering and high for vacuuming.
