Solar Sun Rings - Savings or Myths??

I am on my way to buy the solar rings for my pool. I am still on the fence about getting them. Is anyone in Southern California using them in their in ground pool. Just joined and I didn't see new posts about this topic. Anybody have a new opinion on these solar rings

    Welcome to TFP!!!

I would say myth based on all the threads on the forum that discuss them ... try the search function
Sound like way too much hassle and overpriced.

My aunt lives in San Jose and has been using bubble wrap to cover (and warm) her pool quite effectively! It's real cheap, but looks like ****. However, she is swimming into late November, and was in the water this year back in late February.
Not the same as those rings, but almost free.
