Hello, first post here, so thanks in advance for the help!

I installed a 2nd hand Hayward H250 on my pool today. I used 1.5" schedule-40 flex PVC for the line that discharges from the heater and puts water back into the pool.

On the side of my pool there is a combo fitting that doubles as a pool light and allows the water from the pump>filter>heater to be pumped back into the pool. (see pics)

I am showing pics of what I have now, I used glue and tried to thread the gray fitting onto the flex PVC but it is leaking, and not going to hold...

I'm looking for a fitting that will convert from the flex PVC to a female clamp on bib kind of like what is shown in the pics. Sorry if I don't have the correct terminology...

Good day, an H250 will need around 40 gpm to activate the pressure switch for operation. Make sure you pump will supply that flow. Also, what type of gas supply are you using. When I see a heater hooked up to an above ground pool I am concerned about the gas supply. This heater burns a lot of gas since it is a 250. Make sure you come off the heater with PVC first and not the flex line.
