Hayward Robots - AV50S vs AV500DS

Two different pool stores in my area carry these robots.
The boxes looks almost the same, even colour scheme is the same - Red/Grey
Both come with the carry caddy, almost the same price point.

And I can't find either of them on the Hayward website, it only shows the AV500 which is Blue/Grey.
Pool store staff haven't been much help.

Does anyone know what the differences are with these models?
In general it seems to be very hard to find good reviews of Robots - I'd appreciate pointers to other vendors/models that you folks recommend.
