New to pool - know nothing, need help, please.

Just moved in and yes, husband thought liner was just off track, easy fix (his words). But upon closer inspection, this is something entirely different.

Is this a DIY or is this going to be very expensive ?

    Any help is appreciated.

*Husband at work and I would like to familiarize myself with all there is to know about having a pool.

    Welcome to TFP!

Not sure what we're looking at there. Looks like a couple of 2x4s or wider that the liner was screwed to. Can you confirm what that is?

Stick around, we have lots of helpful people here, and we'll be able to get you going on the best way to maintain your (new to you) pool.

The track needs to be remounted to the wall. This time use stainless screws. The whole job is going to be a little tricky, possible as a DIY project, but not an especially simple one.
