    Sequestrant Question?

I have been using ProTeam Metal Magic. I noticed at walmart that they have something called Clorox Scale, Metal and Stain control. It is about $5 dollars a bottle cheaper. What I don't know if this is as good or will it work. It doesn't say on the bottle what is in it.

Clorox Scale, Metal and Stain Control MSDS
    etidronic acid (Aerosol)
    2809-21-4 10 - 30 %
    2-Butenedioic acid (2Z)-, homopolymer
    26099-09-2 10 - 30 %

    DOT
    UN number : 1760
Description of the goods : Corrosive liquids, n.o.s.
    : (CONTAINS PHOSPHONIC ACID)
    Class : 8
    Packing group : III
    ERG Code : 154

Does this mean anything to anyone?

This shows the recommended sequestrants and what ingredient to look for: http://www.troublefreepool.com/conte...d-metal-stains

That Clorox looks like it might have the right ingredient, but not sure if it would be as effective as the Metal Magic

    Re: Sequestrant Question?

Clorox Scale, Metal and Stain Control contains two active ingredients, one of which we recommend and one of which we don't recommend.

Metal Magic contains a higher percentage of the recommended chemical, so I would go with that.
