Air collecting in the filter

Hi all,

I am new member and new to the pools in general. We got house with inground pool and spa about 12 000 gallons. We have Pentair VS pump and sollar panels installed.

It works good beside lots of air collecting in the filter during pump operation. For about 2 hours the air collected is may be half of the filter body /it starts to send air to the pool return/.

Where I should start looking for air leak and what would be the reason for this problem?

Well, the issue must be on the suction side of the pump (between the pool and the pump). Make sure there is enough water in the pool and there is not a vortex in the skimmer. Check and lube the pump lid and drain o-rings. Those are the easy places to start.

The inlet pipe was not aligned good with the pump. After realigning it looks like the problem is solved

Glad it was an easy fix
