Question on type of bonding lug

Hello I had a question on the types if bonding lugs. Do I have to use a brass bonding mug like this?

Or can I use a tin plated lug like this?

Also on the type of bolt would some thing like this stainless steel be fine ?

A lot of it depends on where you are going to use them. Any lug that will be buried has to be rated for direct burial and will have a stamp on it with the letters DB

I will be using them on the legs of my index pool. So the material is not as important as making sure there rated DB

If they are going to be buried then yes, they need to be DB rated and marked. Above ground they do not need that unless there are some code additions in your area that require it. You do know that Intex pools are classified as temporary so they do not fall under the guidelines of the NEC. It is not a bad idea to do the bonding but be aware that each individual piece of the pool frame on these is electrically isolated from each other from the paint that is on it.

Since every peace is isolated this would mean bonding the legs in four places won't do any good since every part is isolated

In some places some temporary pools do need to be bonded, typically when the water is four feet deep or deeper.

If individual metal parts (or assemblies of several metal parts) are smaller than 4 inches in their largest dimension they do not need to be bonded. If bonding is required, then each separate metal assembly 4 inches or larger needs to be bonded. If everything connects together then you still need at least four bonding attachments.

Above or below ground the connector needs to be rated for bonding use. Buried connectors need a higher rating, which will be indicated by the DB mark.

While there are several split bolts and lugs that are "rated" and or certified, you should really go to your local building department to see what they accept. They can also tell you how they want it bonded. This is of course you have drawn a permit and are going to have it looked at or "finaled" by the city. If you aren't having it looked at by your building dept, and are just doing this for your own piece of mind, copper and brass give good conductance weather buried or not.

In the end, that's what you are looking for, good continuity throughout.

Okay given that I have an intex 12 by 24 and the legs only slide into the top rails which are sections of about 3 feet long by bonding just the legs at four locations as well as the water should this bond every pool part or does every single pieace that is larger than 4 inches have to be bonded individual ?

Also JasonLion by rated for bonding you mean the lug has to have the label GBL ?
