I discovered a 3 inch tear (i.e., separation) at the seam of my liner. The horizontal section is at the top of my stairs and, at this point, is not submerged in water. Has anyone heard of pool repair services that perform onsite vinyl welding to repair the seam? If not, will patching usually repair a seam? The liner is only four years old and is warranteed, but as most of you know, the warrantee does not cover the labor for removal/installation, etc... I live in central NJ. Thanks.....

As long as the remainder of the seam is solid that is quite possible to patch. However, it the entire seam is ready to tear out, patching won't last long.
