    Hi from eastern Iowa

    Although I registered in July and have posted several times I haven't introduced myself. First, this site and forum are just perfect for a pool newbie like me, who likes to understand the technical side of stuff I own. In a short time I learned more about proper pool care that was rational and sensible than anywhere else I've gone (physically or virtually). That's why I became a Lifetime Supporter this morning. Wife and kids wanted a pool in ground), but because of $$ and lack of a good site for an IGP on our lot, we decided on an AGP provided that I surround it with a deck. Got started with demolition of an existing deck and porch last fall, and now here's where we're at so far (thread is in the "show your pool" section):

    Again, thanks for a fantastic site. I'm happy to support it. I look forward to learning a lot from everyone here as I face the day-to-day, year-to-year challenges of maintaining a safe, sparkling clean pool.

    15X30 AGP, Lomart beaded liner;
    1.5 HP Sta-Rite pump with 21 inch sand filter (Zeobrite media)
    Mineral Springs (Aquatrol) SWCG, Rigid PVC plumbing, 2 inch
    Four 4X12 Techno-Solis solar panels, rack mounted, Goldline Solar Controller
