Flex PVC vs Ridgid PVC

I was originally going to go with sched 40 2" ridgid PVC for my pool drains, skimmer & returns. I spoke with a pool plumber today and he suggested I use the flexible sched 40 PVC. Said it won't crack as easy if under the concrete in 3 years things settle (which they shouldn't, but if they do), the flex has a little give. Plus I was looking at the ultra-flex, which is extra flexible and it is likely I could run that w/o any unions or joints, so minimal opportunity for leaks.

Any suggestion or experience with flexible PVC?:nemo:

I would use rigid. Flex is more likely to fail. Follow good installation procedures and the plumbing should last for a very long time. I would also suggest some level of redundancy on suction and returns so that you could close off a failed line if necessary and still operate.
