FC 8.5
PH 7.8
salt 3850
Since FC is below 10 now, should I begin MA to get PH down in range?
Thanks!

Yep, if that's a good pH number, enter your data in pool math for a dose. Make sure all data is correct, volume, TA, current pH etc.
2" of rain is less than 5% of the pools volume, so it would not affect the numbers much. Keep the FC and pH in range and do not worry about the TA.
No need to wait on CYA. Is your CYA still 60? Target is 70-80. Would be good to bump it up a little.
Have you memorized this info yet? URL="http://www.troublefreepool.com/pool-school/water_balance_saltwater_generator"]Water Balance for SWCGs[/URL]
No need to wait to turn the SWG on.
Update:
FC 10.5
CC 0
PH 7.8
CH 400
TA 110
CYA 50
Still have SWG off and running pump 10hr/day
Thoughts from the pros at TFP?
Not too shabby!
The GC will drop and as you continue to add MA for ph control, it will also bring down the TA... however slowly.
Those are some fine looking numbers! Way to power through and get it done!
I say you are ready to add borax. I like my borax in my pool. And I just added borax to my hot tub last weekend and it was oh so niiiice!
Have you read the borax sticky? Here it is

Don't you want to lower the TA more before adding the borates?
