    New SWG system CircuPool

    Hi,
I am doing my research to install a SWG system, out of pure convenience for my son and I.
I have narrowed it down to 3:

1- Circupool SI45+ which they would upgrade for free to si60. 7 years warranty, cell replacement is $549. System cost $979
2- Circupool SJ45 no upgrade $799.00 cell replacement is $449
3- Circupool SI30 (not plus) which they would upgrade to SI45.$779.00

I just don't know which would be right for my pool, can you help me pick one please.
Is there a real benefit on the Plus? Jason a specialist with Discount Salt pool recommended the SJ45 but I know by reading here that I need to get the largest possible.

Thanks in advance for your help.

We recommend sizing the cell for 1.5-3 times the size of you pool. So, a 40k cell would be about the minimum I would consider.

I am not familiar with this line of SWGs to offer any specific thoughts.

The SJ45 and SJ45+ both put out 2lbs of chlorine a day at 100% which equates roughly to about 2X your pool size. That should work and I would not go smaller than that. The 60 size puts out 3.1lbs a day and will require less run time overall and will last longer than the 45 sizes. Search the warranty terms to see which once makes more sense to you, they are all prorated.

I have the Si-40, which is the same as the Si-45. In the height of the summer I was running for 7 hours at a little over 50%. So, running at 100% I could cut the pump time to about 4 hours (which is what I am going to try this summer) and still meet my chlorine demand. That is for a fairly lightly loaded pool in Tulsa with a CYA of close to 70. For a pool your size I would have to generate at 100% for 7 hours. If you are happy with around a 7 hour run time at the peak of season (or supplement with chlorine if you want a shorter run time), the Si-45, Si-45+, or SJ-45 would be fine. If you want a shorter run time without supplementing with chlorine, you should go for a larger unit.

I do not see what the benefit is of the SJ series over the Si+ series. If it were me, I would either get the Si-45 for $899 (which would then be upgraded to the Si-60 for free) or the Si-45+ for $979 (which would be upgraded to the Si-60+). To narrow it down further, I would not get the + because I have doubts about if the extra warranty (and maybe different cell construction) is worth the extra cost, but I may be off on those doubts.

Thanks for all the replies guys.
For $79 I think I'm going to gamble on the Si-45+.It comes with 7 year warranty vs the 4 year warranty on the si.
I hope I am making the right call.
    Thanks for your help.

The CircuPool Plus series has an extended life cell. My SI-30 Plus cell is rated at 15,000 hours.
