New Pool in South East Florida

Hello fellow pool owners:

I am in the process of building a pool
Pool Size: 15' x 32' with cut corners (90 lft)
Spa Size : 7' Hexagon
Permits are all squared away.
I got to change the plans due to the pervious/impervious ratio.
Deck (red marking on picture) is going to be bishop hat.

Will post more during the process and will appreciate any feedback.

Im curious so I will ask a question.

Is there any particular reason you put the skimmer in the corner?

If that the direction the usual prevailing winds will push debris?

We don't normally recommend cutting corners around here. But, in your case we can make an exception since it looks good so far!

It was recommended by the builder. Not a personal choice. Do you think the skimmer should be placed someplace other than the corner?

I think skimmers work well in a cut corner. Too close to a regular 90° corner can cause issues due to poor flow. As long as it is down wind of prevailing wind flow, you should get great results.

I always forget how sandy your soil is, so vastly differently from our rock hard/clay soil here.
