Repair of Little Giant APCP-1700 Pool Cover Pump

Forum,
I kept my Little Giant Pool Cover Pump on my pool cover all winter long. As you all know, we had constant snow this past season. Now that the snow has all melted, the pump should drain my pool cover and it isn't. I took the cover off and checked the float. There is no obstruction. Any other ideas why it isn't triggering? I validated the outlet I have it plugged into has power. I would think this is a common problem.

Any body have guess as to what I should do or try to get her pumping again?

No, but cover pumps are notorious for failing. Often easier to just replace. Sorry to give youu a lousy first responce, but perhaps someone will have a suggestion.

Does your plug have a small white tube on it? You can blow into it to activate the pump. I had an animal chew on mine once that actually blocked the tube and the pump wouldn't start until I opened up the tube with a small nail.
