Leveling Ground for Intex AGP

Hi All, I bought a new intex AGP last fall and now it's finally warming up around here in NJ to think of installing it. I have an entire plan setup and ready. My only issue is with leveling the ground. My yard is pretty flat, no trees and pretty level already too (maybe 1 - 3 inches off as a guess?). I was thinking to cut out the grass and level it myself but have been having second thoughts. So now I think to hire someone, but I wonder who should I hire? Would a pool installation company come out and only do the leveling for me? Or maybe hiring a landscaper who could do the same job and possibly be cheaper?

If you don't want to do it yourself, you could find a handyman who could do it. It's not hard, just time consuming as you probably know. I purchased my pool locally and they have a few guys that they call for the installs. If there is a local company that sells AGPs, contact them to find out who they use. They should be willing to give you the contact information.

You'll need to cut down to level, not build up. Stockpile beer and Motrin. Or let your fingers do the walking and see if there's a "bobcat service" in your neighborhood. Concrete masons will also know who can dig things up for you. Anyway, since you're new, I took the liberty of looking up a few old threads to serve as inspiration:

I'm particularly fond of the last one, since my animation is in it. Here's another, without pictures

I do have a friend who done masonry/paver work so I'll give him a call for some ideas too. Great idea, thank you!

Nice posts. One day mine will be done too. I love the bamboo surround on the 2nd link. I'd like to maybe run something around the outside of the pool to hide the ugly intex liner on the outside too.
