The prices of commodity chemicals are not really influenced by events like this, even when a party controls 30% of the market. If there were only 1 other player, then I might be worried.

But even so.....one more reason to have a SWG pool!

That referenced what I said about hearing about it at work. I work at a chemical plant. Probably could've clarified that a little better. If you are asking who I work for, it's Westlake chemical corp..

No I wasn't aasking who your employer was, and if you want me to edit out your company name, let me know. I see what you mean now and thanks for clarifying. Hope it doesn't affect you, but I'm betting you've been through buyouts before.

I doubt any of us will see any change from this as our bleach goes.

No worries. I just wish they would put in a bleach plant. They've mentioned it several times over the years. My company bought out the original owner 25 years ago. They aren't like most other chemical plants that sell every 3-5 years.
