I have a 16 x 32 IG pool, volumn is 17,260 gallons and am looking into converting to saltwater.

Does anyone have any experience with the AutoPilot CoPilot chlorine generator system? In addition to the chlorine generator, it has an ozone generator. Is that a gimmick or does it actually work?

Welcome to TFP!

We don't recommend ozone systems for residential pools, unless you throw large pool parties for more than one day in a row on a regular basis. Ozone can be very useful in commercial pools, but the debris load is so much lighter on a residential pool that it really doesn't serve any purpose.

Thank you for the info. Can you recommend a brand? I have looked at http://discountsaltpool.com/Salt-System-Comparison.php but all that really tells you is who has the longer warranty. They appear to be pushing the Circupool brand based on the value score.

It depends on what is most important to you. CompuPool and CircuPool are good if keeping costs down are paramount. AquaRite is a good choice for most people and everyone is familiar with them, AutoPiilot has the most fancy features (very cool, though no must haves).
