Future infinity pool location

Hi all, new member here.

I am planning on building a house with an infinity pool here. Trying to learn as much as possible from this forum before starting this project.

Ideally, the line of sight from the deck would go to the water and above any land or structures.

What you might want to do is to put up a string line where the top of the infinity edge will be so that you can get an idea of what you will see from various points around the pool. Ideally, you would only see water from the side closest to the house. The pool water should blend into the water in the distance.

I think you will find that the drop on your site continues over a longer stretch and therefore standing outside the pool you may see the lower portion of land. If you stand far enough back, you will get the illusion you are looking for. Non the less, I like your hill top position
