DIY raise/level concrete deck?

Our new pool has some settling of the deck, most notably at the back of the yard. There is a slab that has sank on one end considerably. It's not directly attached to the coping or pool, there is a flowerbed inbetween. I am thinking of trying to fix it myself by digging under the low end, using bottle jacks to raise it back up, and adding either concrete piers or stacked cinder blocks for footings. Has anyone ever tried something like this?

Sounds like the same problem I had. My remedy was to use a bottle jack to raise the slab. Then I used concrete blocks and loose pebbles to pack under the slab. I lowered the jack to level and left the bottle jack under the slab and packed around it. So far so good.
