20150319_102449.jpg20150319_102443.jpgWe gunited in December and are now waiting for the weather to warmup for the PB to continue with our build. But I have noticed a white powdery substance (see pictures) all over the walls of the pool. Although we have had a lot of snow, it does not appear to be remnants of any snow. Does anyone know what this is, and whether I should be concerned?

Thanks

On bare gunite, before plastering, that is common enough and nothing to worry about. It is called efflorescence and comes from minerals being pushed through the gunite by ground water. Once plastered you won't see it, and since the plaster is waterproof no new efflorescence will form.
