I know having a salt water pool makes you somewhat more susceptible to rusting on metal components. Are there any recommended ways to mitigate this potential harm? I've read rinsing with fresh water helps, but I'm trying to think of something more proactive. Application of a Rain-X type water repellant? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also appreciated are comments by those of you with salt water pools who have auto cover tracks and what your experience with any rust problems have been.
