On my desk today is a copy Service Industry News. On the front page it reads, "Cyanuric Acid & Chlorine: It's all about the ratio". As I read it it is spot on and in agreement with what is provided here. The best part is, it sites the extensive research done by Richard Falk in this field, I don't think I need to tell you who he is.

Next up---the x10 rule for CC.

The article can be read here: http://www.serviceindustrynews.net/

Interesting ... now if the CPO training would be updated

Although there are still a few things not quite right:
- Chlorine addition of only 1 or 2 time per week may not be enough
- No mention of the buffering effect of the CYA to make the water less harsh (alluded to though)
- CYA does in fact slowly break down and not only lost when water is physically removed

Despite some fairly small degree of inaccuracy, this is a really good article and will hopefully help some of the techs understand better what we teach about CYA and why.

Kudos to chem geek (Richard).
