My pool builder said you cannot adjust the color of a mini pebble because I wanted a little darker than Tropics Blue. Is he not correct? does it cost more if you can?

If you have a particular product in mind, contact one of their licensed applicators directly and ask them the question.

Welcome to TFP!!!

Most of these products are mixed onsite. It should certainly be possible to add some bags of darker pebbles, just like you can add bags of shells. Sounds like the builder does not want to be bothered with your request. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer like Jay said and confirm.

BTW, I think the darker pebbles do tend to cost more.

On my recent pool build, darker did cost more....but not enough to get excited about.

He may not want too, or it may be against the PT Policy. However, it can absolutely be done without compromising the finish quality. If they say it's against policy, that's their business, but it would be another reason not to choose them. We blended our finish to a custom color. Ask long as you stick with the same line and Brand, no problem in customizing a color.
