I am working on replumbing and plastering my pool. All the contractors want to replace my existing skimmer with new. Sounds fine but I am having a tough time finding a very large capacity unit to handle lots of leaves. My current skimmer works well but is a little funky.....just a large round hole with suction pipe at bottom. I place a large basket upside down and use a plastic clamp to keep it down. When I pull out the leaves it is by hand as the basket stays in place. Any suggestions for a new skimmer with a very large basket?

I can't quite picture what you are talking about. As for large cap skimmers, I'm aware of wide mouths, but not increased capacity ones.
I found this one. I know nothing about it other than what the web page says, still it claims to do what you want.
Thanks. I ran across that one too but am concerned they are foreign based. Part replacements could be a problem but it looks huge. Thanks!!
