Re: New Pool Build in Tampa -- Waterfall and Spa

Do you live on a golf course? Or did they just leave the top of the screen for the 3D rendering?

Re: New Pool Build in Tampa -- Waterfall and Spa

Actually I decided to remove the screen enclosure from the order, but the top missing from the rendering was just for display purposes. The area behind the house is wetlands.

Re: New Pool Build in Tampa -- Waterfall and Spa

looks great! out of curiosity why did the plumber go all wavy with his pipes in the spa? Any concerns with from that for the venturi at the jets? It was mentioned to me for that to be as high as possible above the jets

Re: New Pool Build in Tampa -- Waterfall and Spa

I asked him to change the heights of a few of the jets to give me some variety. I don't think the "wavyness" will be a problem. The spa is forced air.

All prepped and ready for the finish. We chose Marbletite Marquis Panama, a quartz finish.
On the day the finish was scheduled to be applied... 6" of rain. Rain non-stop for the whole next week.

Re: New Pool Build in Tampa -- Waterfall and Spa

Well it turns out that the Pool Finish installers screwed up and applied WetEdge Pacific Luna Quartz, a product my PB isn't even authorized to sell!!!

    IMG_20150731_182259.jpg

For safety reasons we have to get water in the pool and figure it out later. So 24 hours and 3 hoses later...

it looked green which I expected (love this forum), but how is this lighter color gonna look. This is NOT what we planned for.
2 days later the start up guy added 5 gal of acid and in a matter of hours...

I really like the color! It's really very sparkly! I'd keep it but I don't know what the Marquis Panama looks like and obviously it's your decision.

WOW! I would go great lengths to get that kind of blue!
It's you and your family's choice.. but if it was my pool, I would keep it...
but.. negotiate some kind of compensation from the PB... maybe some extra equipment?
