I replaced my Polaris pool cleaner with a robotic cleaner one and I've lost the prime to the filter pump twice this week. Are those two factors related and if so what do need to do to prevent it from happening again?The Polaris used the pool pumps, while the new one does not.

They could be related, though there are other possibilities. The Polaris would have had a booster pump that drew water from a pipe after the filter. If that pipe is not properly sealed off it is possible for air to get in there when the pump is off, which would cause you to lose prime.
