Intermatic timer - Can't turn off

Hi All,

I can't turn my pump off using the intermatic timer. It stays on just fine though! I've got the 2 timer type - 1 for the main pump power/time and another for the Polaris. The main switch flips on and off completely so I know it's not the wheel with the little metal clips/trippers.

I've done a quick search and some reading and get the impression that this is more of a replacement part than a fix-it item. Anything else I should look at before ordering a new one? Will I replace the entire thing or just the one side/timer?

One thing to check before replacing the mechanism, if you have the freeze protection option on your timer, it might be the freeze protection triggering, and the timer might be fine.

Thanks for the suggestion, Jason. I do have a freeze protection device. It's set to 44, but it's 59 right now. Is there some way to test and see if that's causing the issue? Maybe just disconnect its wires?

Try turning the freeze protection down to see if that works.

Turning down the freeze protection seemed to do the trick!! Thanks!
