Hot surface Ignitor interchange

I have a 10+ year old Jandy LX400. one of the ignitor wires broke and I subsequently shattered the ignitor working on it.

Anyways, This looks like a standard off the shelf $20 furnace ignitor with a long wire. Has anybody tried to use something like this and just splice the wires below the pan?
