Is my pump going bad?

Hi everyone,

Lately I have been having issues with my pump. When I manually turn it on using the timer it will go through the motion of starting up and then just stop.

In order to get it on, I will have to turn it off from the main breaker and turn it back on and it starts running no problem.

Keep in mind that it turns on without any problems automatically at the set time.

Now when its running, I noticed that the vacuum isn't working. I get suction from the skimmer line but not sure if it's too weak for the vacuum.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Do you mean it trips the breaker when you first turn it on? When it is running, is there air in the pump causing it to not have much suction?

Yes! it trips the breaker when I manually turn it on. No issues when it comes on automatically.

Also there is no air in the pump when running.

Sorry, I can't tell you. Maybe someone has a better idea.
