Water Feature Pump Size

Hey Guys,
Well finally got water in the new pool , hopefully all the equip will be up and running
by this week.
I connected the Pool water feature which is 2200mm Wide and 1800mm above the water line
it is a stainless steel spillway that I only wanted to trickle down the feature wall.

It runs on a Hayward super 11 316 pump 1 1/4, the flow seams to be to fast as it is not trickling

Can anyone suggest what size pump I should be using.

Can you manually restrict the outflow to slow it down? That won't hurt the pump.

Im not sure if that is possible is it? How would I do that?

There would be a valve on the piping between the pump and the water feature.

Hey Guys,
Thanks I put a 3 way valve on the return line with a run off to a unused solar return
worked perfect.......can adjust the flow of water easy.
