Gauge reading 5, normally 25-28

Last night it was 15 degrees, and ran my filter all night. this morning the gauge was reading 5 normally it runs 25-28. Any thoughts as to why? Can those gauges freeze? Everything seems to be working just fine in the pool, including the attached spa.
 
Yes the gauges can freeze and yes they do fail and quite often. Let it warm up during the day and see if changes. If not, replace it. The oil filled gauges are little bit more resistant to problems so you might go with that instead. See tftestkits.net.
