Jandy RS Firmware Upgrade and Vs Pump Compatability

Hi. I have an Jandy One Touch # 8156 RS-8 combo with firmware L. What parts will I need to utilize a 2 speed or VS pump. And ,will that upgraded firmware work only with a Jandy's VS or 2 speed pumps or will it work for Pentair pumps as well.
