What is the best Heat pump for my 32x16 Intex pool

Me personally, I would go with solar. 2 to 3 80 sq ft panels and you would get a good jump in temps, best part is, once its paid for, it doesn't cost any extra to run.
That being said, if you are dead set on a Heat Pump, the first question would have to be what temp do you want your pool at most of the time?

50,000 to 80,000 BTU would be fine then. Do some searches on here for recommended brands.
Just double checking -- you (and your wife, who wants the heater) prefer to swim in water between 68 and 76 degrees? That's a bit chilly by most standards

My girlfriend is like that. She wants 80s and thinks if it's in the 70s it still has ice in there somewhere

Our pool was 84 until yesterday but the kids would only swim for a few minutes because the ambient temp was to chilly. I would think that during this time of year, the minimum temp would need to be 80 but that's just me. I have not been in since the pool temp dropped out of the 90s.
