Autofill question

I've replaced the float assembly and the anti-siphon valve for the autofill system and it is working again.

This may be a silly question, but I was wondering about how far open I should leave the valve supplying the autofill. Will leaving it all the way open put undue pressure on the float assembly over time or is that not an issue?

Won't be an issue because at equilibrium the float valve will still have the same pressure acting on it regardless of how open the shutoff valve is.
