I have a used tub about 5 to 7 years old not sure purchased it used a month ago it seemed to work fine until last week I noticed that every time the heater starts the pump light comes on and I can't turn it off. but once its up to heat I can start and stop the pump, any idea why this is please, or how fix it?

Thanks!

Not sure I understand, but I think that is how they work. If you are asking for heat, the heat will stay on with the pump until the desired temperature is reached.

Is the concern that you want to change your mind and stop the heating process?
