(Sorry, but for some reason I cannot figure out anymore how to begin a new thread to ask my question, as requested, nor can I edit my Signature. I don't see the Post New Thread button available, and there's no button under My Profile to click to edit my Signature.)

So...hopefully, this won't become lost. Here goes: I have a 7000 gal. AGP with vinyl liner, 5 years old. The pump is 1.5 HP Pentair. I'm planning on replacing it with a 2-speed pump after reading conversations on TFP -- thanks to everyone who posted info. What advice would you give for an appropriate replacement pump regarding HP and brand? Thank you.

    Need replacement pump suggestions

Any suggestions for replacing a Pentair 1.5 single speed pump for a 7000 gal. above ground pool? Considering 2-speed, and current one (5 yrs old) was 1 speed. Thanks in advance.

A two speed, either 3/4 HP or 1 HP is best.
